Allergies and Intolerance Testing
An allergy test can help you find out what foods, additives or other substances you are intolerant to. It can help you lead a healthier life and improve any symptoms that you suffer from that may be aggravated by eating or been exposed to certain things.
Vega Intolerance Testing is a non-invasive, pain free intolerance test that was originally devised by a German physician in the 1960’s. The equipment used is a bio-electronic analyser which measures the body’s electrical resistance to certain substances. If a person is intolerant to a specific substance, the body’s electrical resistance will drop, which is recognised by the machine. The therapist is then able to read from the machine display and determine to what extent a person is intolerant to a specific substance.
The whole test lasts approximately 1 hour, which includes advice on diet and symptom improvement and food alternative advice.
What’s tested for?
Intolerances to the following are tested for:
- Food
- Alcohol
- Chemicals
- E-numbers
- Animal hairs
- Preservatives
- Airborne substances e.g. pollen
- Vitamin & mineral deficiency

The Allergy Test Consultation

During the test you will be given advice on what foods can be eaten and which foods it is best to cut down on or cut out completely.
At the end of the test you will be given a printed out table of what intolerances you have along with a detailed food alternative list which is helpful if any major food groups show as intolerance.
A full history of the client is also taken allowing the test to be individualized to suit each persons needs.
